Scott Sayare is a journalist based in New York. His work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, New York, and, among other publications, The Guardian Long Read, where he is a contributing writer. Previously, he worked as a reporter for The New York Times.

He is currently at work on a book about smell.
